Hello - I’m Jake :)
Having studied and worked in design for 7 years, I transitioned into marketing. Now DMI-qualified and studying towards the Expert marketing certification, I have developed a passion for building campaigns from scratch, turning business challenges into creative, impactful solutions.
Combining Creativity with Strategy
Photography and videography were my first stepping stones into the world of marketing. What began as a creative outlet soon became professional work – from being the sole photographer at a wedding to filming, producing, and editing multiple high-quality video marketing campaigns. These projects opened my eyes to how powerful creative content can be when paired with the right strategy.
As my career progressed, I moved from producing content to shaping campaigns at the top level – developing strategy, managing stakeholders, and ensuring teams delivered on the creative vision set out from the start. This is where I’ve done some of my most rewarding work, including retailer focussed campaigns, end user campaigns, and the successful launch of a podcast content platform.
Each of these campaigns was multi-layered, incorporating paid advertising, email marketing, press ads, and editorial articles. I oversaw the development of every asset and took each project from the first spark of an idea through to full execution – making sure the creative message stayed consistent and impactful at every stage.
I would be happy to discuss these campaigns in further detail.
*Below, I have included some of my older work from years gone by. The work I am most proud of, is currently being published and is owned by my employer. As such, I have refrained from publishing it here.

Brand Design and Marketing - Re-Skin Interior Renovations
I was brought into Re-Skin as lead brand designer to try to fix the identity crisis the business was facing as it went through a period of growth.
I created a variety of content including logos, brand guidelines, video adverts and much more. I also ran paid advertising campaigns which achieved a significant ROI.

Design and Marketing - 5 A Side Chess
I was originally approached by Ross at 5 a side chess to design an impactful vehicle wrap for his camper van which would be used to tour the country. The bus was designed to peak interest and spark conversation wherever it went surrounding mental health and suicide prevention.
After pitching the ‘Check on ya Mate’ slogan and showing my designs, I developed a relationship with the 5aC charity which lead to me creating and installing the graphics, as well as helping out with various marketing campaigns in the following years.

Photo/Videography - Pilgrim Foodservices
As digital marketer for Pilgrim Foodservices, one of the major projects I lead was the website video guide.
The business had not long launched it’s ecommerce site and was having a hard time converting long time customers to become customers on the web.
The website guide was created in order to show less experienced users of the web how to use the website and troubleshoot any common problems customers ran into.
The guide was considered a great success and has consistently been one of the most visited pages on the website. It also significantly reduced the number of calls and IT support tickets being opened by customers who couldn’t understand features of the website.
